Saudi Arabia confirmed on Monday that the Ras Tanura refinery suffered minor damage from debris after two drones were intercepted in the area. There were no casualties, according to the Defense Ministry.
Saudi Arabia's state news outlet, the Saudi Press Agency, said that some operational units at the refinery were shut down as a precaution, but that the measure will not negatively impact oil supply to local markets.
When they say minor damage it means that the refinery is in the shutdown mode, substantial damage and major repar and start up that takes weeks will be involved. This is from someone who just worked in a Middle East Refinery.
Couple of days later I watch a video that the Saudi Refinery is shut down. Also Qatar Gas stopped their operations. To restart it fully will take 1 month. With 1 day gone, it is now 1 month plus 1 day of outage.
