This project success depend also on the Govt if they serious or not. Sometimes collaboration project with Govt is good but got chance Govt will also U-Turn. Example Melaka Gateway. Until today not much development.
LBS work hard to bring China connection to Malaysia. I hope the Govt don't waste the opportunity.
alfred, not expert la, just sharing my view based on cart (still learning), this short and middle term still not ok as the Mas lines still heading down, unless can stand strong above 0.5, if cant then still need time to break the reverse trend :)
As per current situation now, LBS can be said quite strong and has high possibility to climb higher to reach and maintain above 0.5 in the short period. But one of the uncertainty is the coming next quarter result as it will affect it whether to continued going stronger or go south way.
In summary, what attracts me to LBS is that I see an undervalued Company with much potential ahead. They have good fundamentals, and has quite a number of promising prospective projects consisting of the core business (i.e. property development), as well as new ventures into other industries, such as Shipyard, Renewable Energy, and more recently the latest announcement of joint venture into Aerospace industry with CGWIC & PKNP.
Internationally, the Company has strong connection with China counterparts and a growing presence in Saudi Arabia.
Everyone has their own opinion of the Company. For me personally, I like this Company because they have long term vision and in comparison to other Companies within same industry, they dare to try to explore and venture into newer things and they don't "hop on the bandwagon" of the current trend like others.
Management wise, most of the top management are family members and from what I can see, they all work very closely with one another, which is rare to see nowadays in family empires.
LBS might be smaller compared to other players, but I see potential and any investment in LBS has to be a long term game.
Of course, this is just my opinion and view. Is important to do own research & analysis.
Thanks for sharing, Alfred. I was wondering what was driving the downtrend of this stock and reading the recent annual report for the first time searching for clues to the downtrend - structural or temporary. Hence, asking around.
