Market might react negatively. That is due to the sentiment. As long as there's growth in the performance and the US business acquisition to look forward to. Tomorrow night will be Nvidia's earnings report. If it beats expectations, then strong chance of short term rebound. Until tariff and data center chip control fear subsides, market might not rally.
Koko not yet.. Hold..but don't keep high hope for huge rebound. Let's see on Wednesday Nvidia earnings. Then wait for people to forget about chip export restrictions and get used to tariff news.
Wait for sentiment to get better..then make a decision..alot of people still holding WB..don't sell at the bottom is all I can say. Tomorrow morning 5 am Nvidia earnings.. Tonight high chance nasdaq close green cause SMCI filed their report before deadline. Now in oversold state. Hold and observe then follow your risk appetite how long you want to hold.
Natgate relying on Malaysia Ai data center wave. Trump's administration looking into ways to make Bidens chip export restrictions even more stricter. So not good news for data center. Nothing is finalized yet. Some say natgate already secure Nvidia Ai chips. Trump saying gonna lower the threshold of ai chip export. So so many uncertainties.
But frontken I find funny why it's dropping together with tech index. TSMC business still strong. Demand still strong. TSMC Taiwan will continue to prosper. China and USA can threaten all they want but both know very well that without Taiwan, world economy will collapse. 90 percent of the chips are made by Tsmc. Bursa really weird.
I got a very a strong feeling that funds are piling into safer assets. Bessent policy is going to lead the market into a significant correction.
It explains why funds are pulling out from emerging markets like Malaysia...
TSMC’s 3nm and 5nm utilization rates have been off the charts in the 1st quarter, about 100% for 3nm and 105% for 5nm, media report, strong performance despite the US clampdown on AI chips for China that was expected to hurt Nvidia and TSMC. China AI demand remains strong. Lower utilization rates for 16/12nm and 7/6nm of around 60%-65% are also largely being offset by higher prices, the report says, citing unnamed supply chain sources, who added that even the earthquake impact might not shake up TSMC’s 1st quarter results as much as feared.
No idea..I copy paste from someone I follow..always first hand info on Taiwan and semiconductor. Then 1 or 2 days later baru mainstream media will report
I mean US market la...
Mly not yet laosai finish... We are a small country, anything happen to US Or China, will have super laosai effect on us too. Our export heavily dependent on them.
Thank god Zelenky didn't sign the 500 billion rare earth mineral deal with US government. Now Trump's bringing back manufacturing to USA has been screwed.
times has changed. no more globalization in the coming 50 years. times changed, our mindset also needs to be changed. dont use last 50 years of model to judge the model in the future.
The important thing is America's Trump manufacturing goal is thwarted. I hate zelensky but he did the right thing. The peace deal should've been more straightforward. Why Trump wants 500 billion worth of rare earth minerals for a war USA made Ukraine to start.
the major key of trump manufacturing goal is
1) U.S. dollar needs to weaken to lower the production cost in US.
2) increase tariff to force oversea manufacturer come back to US.
trump is good business man , but i when i read the news carefully , i saw many hidden resistance from trump's targeted countries and oversea company. i think trump manufacturing plan is not doing well right now.
Japan Softbank and Taiwan TSMC need make commitment for invest US to avoid tariff. but they are very smart.
they will promise investing incredible amount of money in to US and make press conference to telling everyone this is trump political achievements.
After a while, it disappeared in silence.
Then i bet they will make many excuse to delay the real money flow in to US.(Because from a business perspective, set up a manufacturing in US is not a good decision)
they will tell you their factory in US is delayed due to the bla bla bla reason.
You see recently how microsoft stop 2 data centres project , microsoft tell you the reason is due to the electricity delay and facility problem.
but the true reason is microsoft revalue and think the wave of AI investments is already oversupply when deepseek came out, especially deepseek is open source。
when they want change direction, they cannot tell you the true reason, they need to use excuses to cover their mistake.
I see the tide of market already changed. now we need to invest our money very carefully.
Han, you're correct haha. I think softbank and openai copied what apple did last time. Just commit a huge amount of investment and keep delay the plan until trump is no longer in power. Donald Trump manufacturing plan is definitely a lapsap plan la. Devalue the dollar? Hello, global reserve currency, when you cut interest rate, everyone will also follow suit leh, how to weaken the dollar? Unless you give up on the dollar supremacy la. People use dollar because of trust leh.
15% tax? Still expensive af, because the cost of manufacturing is essentially doubled the amount of what we can do outside of the US. Then DOGE pula... Cutting down gomen expenses will cause the inflation to go down yes... But it will also cause recession haha... I believe the huge selloff this year is regardless of the politics, but more like a global recession play.
Han they cancelled the DC contract in US and bought land in Malaysia for DC. US DC expensive due to higher cost. Their only solution is nuclear powered DC. For that they need uranium. That's why Trump is pushing zelensky to sign the deal. There are abundance of uranium in eastern Ukraine. But the funny thing is, eastern Ukraine is now controlled by Putin. Hahaha. Microsoft is also focusing more on quantum chip. They leaving AI semiconductor to OpenAi. We're just in the beginning of Ai. The tip of the beginning. Robots, droids, auto taxi, medical Ai. More to come. Sam Altman also said they ran out of GPU for their latest ChatGpt.
Arm will ink a deal to establish a base in Malaysia, the nation’s prime minister said, media report, adding details will be finalized this week. Softbank Group CEO Masayoshi Son was also involved in the discussions. Softbank is Arm's biggest shareholder.
