Spill-over effect from high Singapore property prices will be the main theme of market play for UEMS. Expect the price to rise to around 40sen by end of year
No, these are warrants issued by third party investment banks for the purpose of betting on the price movements of UEMS. They are totally unrelated to the company.
All the stale bulls who bought UEMS at around 48sen 2.5 years ago are coming out in droves to sell their shares, hence the price will stay at this level for a while
Personally I would think that the catalysts will come from RE projects, JS-ESZ, revaluation of the land and electric mobility.I invested uems based on these prospects
As mentioned earlier, 48sen is a strong resistance barrier; will take a while for all the stale bulls to dump their stocks before the uptrend can resume
The stale bulls have cashed out; short sellers are running for cover; consolidation may take several days or even a week. A batch of new bulls will come in to take the price pass the barrier of 48.5sen
Tabung Haji sold 3.6m UEMS few days ago; that's no major concern and they sold it probably at a loss as the IPO and right issues were much higher than the present price
Looks like 57.5sen barrier is within striking range; did not expect it to happen so fast. The fundamental factors of RTS, HSR and economic zone are too strong; this current price upsurge is more than speculation
Urusharta jamaah's main objective is to facilitate an improved financial position for the GLIC, UJ is committed to restructuring its acquired assets and maximising asset recovery value, hence selling and buying in open market is part of their role to achieve their objectives.
Don't panic, speculaters and traders are unwinding their positions; strong support at 48.5sen. The property tide is beginning to rise; all property counters will float before the end of year.
Tabong Haji sold 5.4m+ UEMS few days ago. Not to worry too much, they sold shares for various reasons, including meeting fund withdrawals by account holders.
Let Tabung Haji continue to sell, not to worry, the market is very big. When they have done with their selling, the share will take off, breaking the 48.5sen barrier decisively
Key thing to observe is whether the price can maintain above 48.5sen for long; if it does, the next target is 57.5sen. Expect heavy selling at this resistance level including that from Tabung Haji which still holds few hundred million units
UEMS has been in the top volume spot since yesterday; chances are high for the price to march towards 57.5sen level; never mind Tabunghaji's selling because the number of retailers is overwhelming
Looks like price is falling back to 48.5sen support line; likely Tabunghaji's selling heavily. Never mind, let TH keep selling; it will come to an end one day
@Lee CH: Q2 results should be out anytime before end of August. I don't expect fantastic results, property market just begin to pick up recently. Anyway, investors are buying now in anticipation of future development in Iskandar Region.
In a way, Tabunghaji's selling is a blessing in disguise; it helps to moderate the feverish UEMS rally. Stock price going up too fast and too soon will not be sustainable, it attracts speculators and short sellers which are detrimental to the healthy growth of a stock.
Tabunghaji just reported selling another 8m shares, no worries about their selling, they probably need money to meet members' withdrawals or administrative expenses
If you are a medium to long-term investors of UEMS, there is one point raised by Aminvest IB worth noting: UEMS is the major land owner as well as master developer of Iskandar Puteri project, in which the HSR has a station based on the old design; it's unlikely this will change when the HSR is revived. Presence of this station will facilitate fast travel to Woodland and a catalyst for residential development.
If the price can stay firmly above 60sen for a week, next two targets will be 71sen and 75.5sen respectively. RM1 by the end of year will no longer be a dream but reality!
Don't believe everything IBs said, they have vested interest, especially those that have issued call warrants. Important thing is to look at the future development and fundamentals, and stick to your own beliefs
Despite the not-so-good results, the stock price is not going to drop very much, it might even move up after a brief sell-off by jitterers. Reason: one invests for the future, not the past and not even the present!
The next target is 75.5sen; expect fairly heavy selling as the price approaches this level. With the Forest City becoming a Special Financial Zone, the positive effects will spill over to the entire Iskandar Region, though indirectly. Hence, good chances for UEMS to keep marching on.
75.5sen target is within the striking range; don't celebrate first, there will be heavy selling as the price approaches this target; the stock looks like grossly overbought now. The announcement of SFZ for Forest City is a very strong catalyst. The price will continue to march after clearing the 75.5sen barrier.
K Lam, look at the chart of the past; there was heavy volume of buying at 75.5sen. These are what we call stale bulls; they will sell at that price now to recoup their capital.
UEMS hit the high of 77sen this morning; but don't rejoice first, watch if it can stay above .755 for at least a few days. This is a significant barrier and there are lots of stale bulls
I don't believe the game is over; it's just a normal correction after the stock has gone up so much! The entire property sector is on the first wave of recovery; there's much more upside to go in the next couple of years. Anyway, make your own judgement and decision.
All property stocks may see reduced interest for the time being as market players seem to turn their eyes on glove counters, but the property market recovery remains intact and renewed appetite will definitely come back later
If Elliot Wave Theory is of any guide, UEMS is on the 4th wave, which is a down slope; the forth coming fifth wave will be a up slope; so get ready for the possible advance. Anyway, these are personal opinions only; do your own research and make your judgement. No one should be held responsible for our own actions
Looks like 5th wave up is beginning to take shape; pleasant surprise! Watch if it can be sustained above 70sen for a while, and then make assault on 75.5sen barrier and crack it! 5th wave up comes early, partly aided by the positive news flow: revival of HSR project and more discussions about easing S'pore-JB causeway congestion as well as Johore economic zone
Now that UEMS has breached the 75.5 barrier, if it can stay above that level, it will climb to 80.5sen. The next huge barrier will be 89.5sen. Let's see how strong it can sail through 80.5 first
UEMS shot through the 75.5 barrier with a rocket force to around 85sen; looks like 89.5 target is within close striking range. But be careful, 89.5 Sen could be the end of 5th wave for the short term; after which there might be a series of small correction waves
UEMS is moving into uncharted waters with such a force beyond any one's understanding, defying all rules and laws now. One's guess is as good as another's. No one can predict now; use your own judgement and make your own decision!
The game is not over yet; having breached the 89.5sen target, the stock completed its short-term 5th wave, it is now undergoing a series of correctional waves. When the stock is fully consolidated, hopefully above the 80.5sen support line, the stock will start another 5 Elliot waves. Personal opinions only, do your own research and make your own judgement
UEMS is retracing to the support line of 80.5sen. Hope it will not go below that but build a base around that level, which might be a spring board for the next upward wave. It will be a bearish sign if the price goes below 80.5sen.
Testing the support line of 80.5sen; this is a critical level, make it or break it! Believe it will withstand the onslaught of selling and build a launching pad for the next up cycle
Dow Jones is down badly, this might affect the local market sentiment. Hope the price will not crash through below 80.5sen when Bursa opens. If it does, it will be a herculean task to bounce back. But don't panic; the property game is not over yet; in fact it has just started recently
there is a possibility that uems going to venture into data centers biz as a chinese biz association has proposed turning johor to become a data centre hub.
