KUALA LUMPUR (April 28): Rising polymer prices are unlikely to hurt Southern Cable Group Bhd’s (KL:SCGBHD) earnings amid expected contract repricing, said Kenanga Investment Bank.
In a research note on Tuesday, the research house said Southern Cable has secured sufficient supply of polymer — a key raw material for cable production — at pre-spike prices to support deliveries until July, which helps to reduce short-term margin pressure.
