KUALA LUMPUR: Ho Wah Genting Bhdusiness/marketwatch/stocks/?qcounter=GENTING' target='_blank'>Genting Bhd has announced that its joint venture with E-Mo Biology Inc has completed the first stage of the Phase 4 clinical trial study of its inactiviated polio vaccine.
During this study, 25 volunteers had been vaccinated with the inactivated polio vaccine.
"The serological evaluation had shown 100% (percent) of the Subjects post-IPV immunization had developed specific antibodies in their blood samples after inoculation that recognized both poliovirus RdRp and SARS-Cov-2 RdRp without any adverse events being reported by the Subjects during the Study," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
E-Mo Biology is in the midst of submitting an application to the US Food and Drug Administration to request an expansion of its cohort of subjects to 275 subjects.
"This expansion of the original cohort will be stratified by age and race or ethnicity," said Ho Wah Genting.
