The Group’s revenue for the current quarter increased by 33.3%, rising from RM301.6 million in the immediate preceding quarter to RM402.1 million. This improvement was mainly driven by stronger sales of 5G optical modules, wireless broadband and network switches. In line with the revenue growth, core profit increased from RM23.0 million to RM30.3 million, mainly due to favourable product sales mix, as well as improved production efficiency and yield.
The Group has successfully transformed into an advanced electronics manufacturing and technology solutions provider through the expansion of its advanced optical modules and related components business. The Group is well-positioned to benefit from growing demand for high-speed connectivity solutions driven by the proliferation of artificial intelligence (“AI”) applications and next-generation networking technologies.
The outlook for calendar year 2026 remains positive, supported by sustained demand for its advanced 5G Optical Modules, wireless broadband and data centre-related products. The continued expansion of AI applications, hyperscale data centres and next-generation networking infrastructure is expected to drive demand for 800G and 1.6T Optical Modules, AI modules and network switching solutions.
The increase in PBT also included a one-off gain of RM20.5 million arising from the bargain purchase gain recognised in connection with the Purchase Price Allocation (“PPA”) relating to the acquisition of NDR.
