■ The newly completed petrochemical complex in Indonesia is to produce major petrochemical products including 1 million tons of ethylene, 520,000 tons of propylene, 350,000 tons of polypropylene, 140,000 tons of butadiene, and 400,000 tons of BTX annually.
■ The project aims to improve Indonesia’s petrochemical self-sufficiency rate from 44% to 90% amid an industry growing more than 5% annually, establishing Indonesia as a key hub for LOTTE Chemical’s Southeast Asian expansion. The Indonesian government has provided policy support such as tax incentives, while LOTTE contributes to local economic development through job creation and trade balance improvement.
■ The facility features state-of-the-art equipment and advanced engineering design for high energy efficiency and carbon reduction, and can process up to 50% LPG feedstock, achieving both cost reduction and operational efficiency.
■ The adjacent LOTTE Chemical Titan Nusantara (LCTN) plant, which produces 450,000 tons of polyethylene (PE), will now receive ethylene directly from the new complex, reducing logistics costs and improving profitability.
■ LOTTE Chemical plans to continue fostering high-growth markets such as Indonesia while optimizing its domestic petrochemical operations and expanding its specialty materials portfolio, including advanced materials and fine chemicals.
