“We see a robust three-year earnings per share compound annual growth rate of 42% in the financial years of 2023 to 2026, supported by the recovery in tourism and growth in Resorts World Genting’s revenue.“Genting Malaysia currently trades at a 12.7 times price-to-earnings (PE) ratio for 2025, two standard deviations below its historical pre-Covid-19 mean PE of 18 times,” it added.
yup, beaten down irrationally :) Growth and deleveraging for GenM driven from the US segment + RWS2.0 soft launching will be the booster for Genting in FY2025.
Agreed, Vin. Personally, I don't think there should be further increase as casino gaming taxes in Malaysia is already the highest in the region. There were talks about cig, vapes and sweet drinks though. And the budget should be focusing on lower income groups; increasing their disposable income. So, subsidies related - remove subsidies but keep the ceiling price for staple food related.
Ya.. Agree with you Cheng..
Last time nobita suddenly increase 10% Gaming tax ...too much for genting.. Hope in the future taurx and energy will bring genting qe another higher level..
ooh TauRx. Its one of the favourite topic for Genting; share price speculations :) Nevertheless, it wont be long before TauRx topic will come out again; within two months if you will. If the clock starts on 1st of July 2024, then, there should be news on UK MHRA approval for TauRx by 1st Dec 2024 as its within the 150 days fast track approval process.
Investors/analysts will not get much information in between the process due to the nature of drugs under Innovative Licensing and Access Pathway (ILAP) process; highly confidential if you will. Have to wait for announcement from TauRx/UK MHRA.
mostly driven by nevada gaming commission complaint - fear of revoking/suspending license perhaps and short term lower numbers from GenS. Its an opportunity for new shareholders to get on board :) Gaming commission's governance action is expected and not new; most of the US listed gaming companies have encountered such actions before. If Genting wants to establish its presence in US, it has to be ready to play along in their system :)
