No significant doubt that AA can survive lah, but the loans interest will eat into their profit and cash flows repayment, which later affect its ability to pay dividend. The various investment banks already indicate their TP is around .04xx ~ 0.5xx. Don’t understand why still stand at 0.75???
Alexander, there are more than 20 listed airlines stocks at US if you add up those listed in NYSE, NASDAQ and OTC markets :) A better reference that you can use is US Global JETs ETF which has approx 40 airlines related companies across the globe; approx 40% weightage from US airlines though. Looking at the ETF performance, it has moved up from its lowest price back in May of $12 high of $21.00 in June and currently at $16.00. It makes sense as Q2 earnings season going into full force starting next week and it’s an open secret that airlines Q2 earnings will be bad :) Stocks tends to move not in absolute performance but on results relative to expectations :) So many airlines to choose in US but it seems that hedge funds are betting on one of the top ten 2019 Airline Quality Rating which is Southwest Airlines. There could be some winners among the huge list of listed airlines in US. Just my opinions, could be wrong. Hope it helps with your research on US airlines.
