19,198 Covid-19 cases reported for Sept 12 with Sarawak hitting record over 5,000 cases

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 12): The Health Ministry reported 19,198 positive Covid-19 cases today with Sarawak's figure climbing to a record high of 5,291.

In a tweet by the ministry's director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, he said these brought the number of positive Covid-19 cases in the country to 1,979,698 million in the country since the pandemic began.

The high number of cases in Sarawak marked the seventh consecutive day that it records over 3,000 cases.

Selangor came in second with 2,347 cases and Johor in third with 2,110 cases.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 376 cases, which sees it record less than 1,000 cases for the 12th consecutive day.

Delta is hard to stop. All should get vaccinated asap. Vaccinations reduce severity of infections.
