Sime Darby Property's Serenia Aqila Phase 1 in Serenia City 90% taken up

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 14): Phase 1 of Serenia Aqila in the Serenia City township in Sepang, Selangor has secured a 90% take-up rate, with Phase 2 currently open for booking. Phases 1 and 2 each comprise 24 units of semi-detached homes.

With a gross development value of RM136 million, Serenia Aqila offers 72 units of semi-detached homes, with a lot size of 40’ x 80’ and built-ups of 3,030 sq ft. Units are priced from RM1,712,888 each, and the development is scheduled for completion in 2024.

In a bid to blend nature and luxury, Serenia Aqila is the first freehold semi-detached homes in the township that is located close to the 8.4-acre (3.4-hectare) Serenity Park, which is home to three 120-year-old trees preserved from the township’s tea plantation roots. 

Sime Darby Property Bhd chief operating officer of township development Appollo Leong said in a press release: “We are proud to see Serenia Aqila well received by homebuyers upon its official launch, which signals growing recognition that nature equals luxury and vice versa. As the leading developer of sustainability-driven townships and communities, we will continue to deliver products that resonate with the market’s demand.” 

He added: “Our goal with Serenia Aqila is to provide our homebuyers with a comforting sense of tranquillity for the entire family within their private sanctuary. This brings a brand-new definition of curated comfort within the heart of our homes.”

Each unit comes with an internal garden, a skylight and large windows for ample natural ventilation, as well as elderly-friendly features in the ground-floor bedroom. The exterior offers an allotment for a home herb garden, dedicated outdoor wash area, three-car porch and garden suite.

Serenia Aqila is close to the 8.4-acre Serenity Park.

Each Serenia Aqila home comes equipped with an electric vehicle charger isolator point, indoor green pockets, a solar conduit connection point, and a rainwater harvesting tank. Other features include a parcel drop box and a water filter point. 

Launched in 2018, Serenia City is a 2,370-acre freehold development, with a 32-acre central park, which features a FIFA-certified football field, rainwater harvesting amphitheatre and other attractive landmarks, including the country’s biggest kinetic sculpture as listed in the Malaysian Book of Records. The development is also moving towards becoming a self-sustaining township, where residents can adopt home-farming within the vicinity of their own homes.
