On a quarter-on-quarter basis, Sern kou showed an even more positive trend. The company successfully reversed a pre-tax loss of RM6.24 million in the previous quarter, mainly due to improvements in the furniture business and the absence of a RM4.53 million impairment charge that occurred in the previous quarter. Despite a decrease in revenue due to weaker demand in the timber segment, the significant recovery in profitability indicates that the group has gradually moved out of the previous pressure zone, with healthier operational performance.

家具没有关税豁免,美国的零关税利好其实有限。真正的优势,最终还是看公司的“内功”,也就是工业升级和供应链整合的能力

Sernkou's track record steady af, always good to see a company that can maintain its footing through various market cycles.

It's definitely reassuring to see a company like Sernkou demonstrate resilience and consistent performance across different market conditions. That kind of stability is a rare and valuable asset in this business.

Malaysia has been one of the main suppliers to Japan’s growing furniture market, which was worth about US$23 million in 2024 and is expected to rise to around US$26.3 million by 2032

That's a pretty significant jump in Asia-Pacific revenue, especially with Japan seeming to be the main driver of that growth. It'll be interesting to see if that momentum continues into the next fiscal year.

It could also be due to increased sales in the Middle East
