Meta Bright Group Bhd’s 70%-owned subsidiary, Expogaya Sdn Bhd, has secured an expanded Islamic banking facility of up to RM31.82 million from AmBank Islamic Bhd, bolstering working capital, trade financing and cash flow as it ramps up infrastructure supply across Sabah.
The enlarged facility, comprising Cashline-i, Multi Trade Finance-i and Invoice Financing-i sublimits, builds on the RM43.9 million secured last year, reflecting Expogaya’s strong revenue, growing customer base and replenished order book.
So far this financing is expected to strengthens its capacity to meet demand from Sabah’s infrastructure boom, including the Pan Borneo Highway, Sabah-Sarawak Link Road Phase 2, Tawau Airport expansion and various rural road, water and utilities projects under Budget 2026’s RM6.9 billion allocation.
Meta Bright recorded RM72.9 million in revenue, a 24% increase from RM58.7 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. The performance was mainly driven by the building materials segment, which benefited from sustained demand for ready-mix concrete across Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and surrounding growth corridors in Sabah
