During the business development, the P/E curves consist of 2 regions, linear region and saturation region.

In the linear region, the P/E ∝ ROIC.

The saturation region happens when the ROIC is too high and the P/E is facing sentiment resistance to follow.

In the linear region, how close is the P/E curve to the ROIC curve depends largely on how accurate the adjustments of the net profit numerator and the invested capital denominator of ROIC.
