Initially, investors digested the news as a sign of slowing hyperscaler investment in AI. Today’s news, however, shows that Meta is continuing its relentless buildout by locking in massive, long-term infrastructure commitments.
The tech giant sees itself deploying 7 gigawatts of computing infrastructure in 2026, with that number doubling to 14 gigawatts in 2027. Meta expects to spend as much as $145 billion on AI infrastructure this year, the report said, a sizeable chunk of the $700+ billion tab big tech companies have projected.
The US Military Announces Third Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iran
According to US Central Command, at 4:45 pm Eastern Time today, the US Central Command began a third consecutive night of strikes against Iran. These strikes will continue to inflict heavy losses on the Iranian military and weaken its ability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Citigroup analysts reiterated their $2,500 price target for SanDisk- which implied 49% upside from Monday's closing price - after raising it from $2,025 last month.
Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani went even further. He reiterated his outperform rating and raised his price target to $3,100 from $1,400, saying that the company's newly signed new business model agreements are driving a "new memory paradigm" and giving investors increased visibility into earnings.
