aiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) announced on Thursday that its net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2025 rose 60.7% to 398 billion New Taiwan dollars ($12.8 billion).
In the quarter to June 30, the world's largest contract chipmaker reported that its revenue rose 38.6% year-over-year to $30 billion, while its diluted earnings per share increased to $0.49, a 60.7% rise compared to the same period last year.
The report shows that shipments of 3-nanometer chips made up 24% of total wafer revenue, 5-nanometer chips accounted for 36%, and 7-nanometer chips comprised 14%. Advanced technologies, defined as 7-nanometer and more advanced nodes, contributed to 74% of the total wafer revenue.
