No rush, kik lim tiong. Manage your own positions well. The next major event unfolding is UK MHRA approval decision for HMTM; by Dec'24 if you will. Following is extracted from TauRx website which was published in July: We’re pleased to announce the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has confirmed acceptance of the UK Marketing Authorisation Application (MAA) for hydromethylthionine mesylate (HMTM), a 4 mg oral tablet for the treatment of mild cognitive impairment (MCI-AD) and mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease.

This application is being reviewed within the scope of the 150-day accelerated assessment procedure, which is used by MHRA to accelerate the availability of medicines for patients in the UK.

We look forward to sharing further updates as the application progresses.

And I believed most of the people can recalled the blue sky scenario valuation provided by Maybank IB for Genting if the drug is approved; TauRx is valued at USD15bil without discount if you will. We will know the outcome of the approval process in less than 3 months time.

We will know in less than 3 months time, Vin :) My opinions: (1) HMTM is orally administered and has a strong safety profile. And there are cases where approved drugs for Alzheimer being withdrawn due to adverse events and its shown during clinical trials too. HMTM did not show any adverse events, hence, the strong safety profile is a plus point (2) TauRx's HMTM was given the ILAP status by UK MHRA; its considered as innovative medicines. Hence, there are possibilities that it will be approved as long as the regulators are convinced with the data submitted including the justification for the placebo run.

Taux is like a traditional medicine that doesn't cure but might be able to reduce severity in some individuals by reducing the certain strains of protein growth.

well, Alzheimer's drug is getting a lot of attention and it helps doctors/patients to understand Alzheimer better. The research and drug discovery in this space is backed by billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates through relevant foundation. The pharma players are investing in the same drug and discovery space too. There is a market out there for Alzheimer disease - regardless whether its reducing severity, slowing down the progression, disease modifying treatment, diagnostic tools, and etc.

lets just wait for 3 months based on the 150 days approval process :) current market price and valuations done by IBs did not include any monetisation / reward assuming HMTM is approved for marketing authorization.
