Congrats all shares holders..
missed it again after sold all LPI 1 month ago with negligible profit. Same case with IJM PLANT few years ago, miss it.. only managed to get good profit from GHL
People keep benchmarking with Teh Family selling of rm9.80 is actually quite "idiot". First, Teh family wouldn't sell it at this cheap price if the buyer is not Pbb. Second, Pbb will not sell LPI shares as they wan to keep it as long term strategic planning and dividend income stream. So the market don't have many shares for free flow so the price will be more stable after flush out panic seller.
The acquisition is actually beneficial to LPI as PBB will definitely give more business to LPI.
In comparison to Pbb, LPI share price will become more stable than Pbb over the 5 years because PBB will not sell LPI shares but Teh family will keep selling Pbb shares (reduce 10%+) at discount rate to staffs and selected VIP which is why pbb share price drop despite the acquisition.
For LPI, I think small holder just not happy with Teh Family sell for rm9.80 only and no understanding or knowledge that the one make lower price is actually themselve, the panic seller and not Teh Family.
History always repeat.. Later when QR good, dividend give very good then share price shot up and people "amdui" should not listen to people in klse screener or some spm level FB "guru". Good luck trading.
Simon, Teh Family does not hint the price worth 9.80 only but they meant it is fair to sell to Pbb at this price as eventually they are still pbb largest shareholder, so sell cheaper also nvrm as it is actually sell back to own company only. It is for Pbb only. You try offer rm11 from them see they sell or not?
Deep down, LPI business heavily rely on Pbb.. I think 90% income from pbb referral for fire/car insurance. I believe pbb ask LPI sell at rm8 also they will sell. But again, ONLY for PBB
When drop to 10 and you will think whether it will drop further. When drop to 8 and you will think whether it will drop further and so on and so forth. So when you no need to think twice is when the price become rm 0.00. Like uncle always say give you free want mou and you still think whether it is a scam or not. So end of the story. there is no way think once in this world. Good luck
Very fishes stock market nowadays. Before covid at very low price all the way. But after covid all fly until moon. It means now earning more than last time? Good luck.
Lionel, I don't understand why u said fishy.. LPI price from 2017 to 2019 is more than RM14 and up to rm16+. Then covid drop abit and now gradually back to normal. if u analyse carefully, LPI share price trending up since 2015 from rm11+ to rm16+ peak... This make sense given the profit from 100mil+ increase to 200mil+ and then to 300mil+ / 400mil+. The higher share price reflected by higher profit. So, I think LPI fair value should be RM14 and above.
Indeed there are some fishy stocks that were not supported by good long-term foundation such as glove counters. They only good during covid and price mainly based on news and goreng... Then eventually drop back to the price they should be.
Manipulated? Maybe for penny stock, yes.. For blue chip with strong foundation and long term history like banking stocks.. I don't think so easy to manipulate even for big tauke.
Lol.. How much do u think kaki pencen have? Even they have RM10mil also difficult to shake a blue chip counter.. Unless a group of millionaire people pool together for rm100mil then maybe they can manipulate abit. If the big tauke behind (in LPI case is PBB) wan defence the price .. What is rm100mil to pbb? Haha... What I mean is, seldom got ppl manipulate blue chip stocks.. Usually is the stocks with no good foundation will kena only, I.e. Goreng stocks..
Rys, are you sure.. Lol.. Have a look for Rview (2542)..a plantation company for many years... No volume most of the time, u wan to sell also difficult.. But it still there in bursa.. Correct me if I'm wrong..
