The successful tender of LSS4@Mentari is Ranhill’s first venture into asset ownership of large scale solar project although subsidiaries Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn Bhd (“RBSB”) and Ranhill Worley Sdn Bhd (“RWSB”) have previously provided professional services in the development of photovoltaic solar projects. RBSB will now be the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (“EPCC”) contractor as well as operate and maintain the Facility.

Ranhill has been owner and developer of independent power producer since 1998, owning and operating two (2) combined cycle gas turbine in Kota Kinabalu Sabah. This venture into renewable energy is in line with Ranhill added focus towards sustainable development and its Environmental, Social and Governance objectives.
