tan this chaileng park boss said musang king got 2 types grade A (58myr/kg) and B (30myr/kg). so far tested the most is xo, then kulit hijau, sultan, green apple, D series once, musang king one biji only. say no to expensiv musang king n black thorn. chinese saying:凭什么它们那么贵啊.lol...;)
musang king 手感棉棉的，very thick taste sweet. not worth 58myr/kg imo...the others all 30+abit/kg, got thick sweet taste + bitter too...for me personally is sufficient
but i learnt different trees/areas, same 名堂can taste different. may b your area red prawn is sweet bitter, but other area red prawn is mainly sweet...the name just comes from the flesh outlook
tan i have weirdo behavior. i dont like musang king for its pricing. black thorn lagi mahal oso same (dont like its pricing). sure different people different taste. may be the thick sweet fragrance from musang king, other species cant b compared. my boss told me food in germany supermarket the quality is similar. but the price differs! anyway, may b i try once more musang king afrer euro21. ;)
Khoo you are right. Different people have different taste. I do enjoy other types of durian but musang king is my favourite :). Have a good trading day.
